Ever faster

Hey God.

Thanks for giving us hope
To make us softer

For a life
That lets us falter

For love
To go running after

For a chase
That's worth the laughter

For fights
To forgive one another

For a choice
To make you master

Of our lives
That are saved
From disaster

In knowing that
You
One day
Will come back
Ever faster.

Waiting with her hands
Under her chin
Helping keep her head up

What colours!
What boldness!
Where is this flower from?

This sudden blessing
That shows the girl
That all she knew is
Faded in comparison
To the bold love
That awaits
Beyond the grey oil
On the framed canvas
Marked by mortality

She stares at the lilly
So beautiful and obvious
A stark contrast to the
Dull world around her

She looks around
Clutches the flower
Defying the strokes that
Bound her to the chair
She peels herself away

And jumps out of the canvas
Into the very world
The lilly is from
